What is VR?
VR is the abbreviation of virtual reality, which is a simulated experience that can be very similar or even completely different from the real world. In VR experiences you use appliances similar to glasses, but with screens covering your visual field, which means that you can find yourself in a completely different fantasy world if you are gaming. VR however cannot only be used for gaming, but for example for the training of various personnel, like medical, military, aerospace or even astronauts. If you ever wanted to experience virtual reality, this virtual reality experience in London by Navrtar has been made just for you! There is no need to spend large amounts of money on expensive equipment, as you are provided with both the games, the induction and the virtual reality equipment at Navrtar. All you need to bring is yourself and your friends, family or colleagues.
What is Navrtar?
Navrtar is the UK’s first virtual reality experience oriented venue, which by the way is also a fully licenced bar, so if you feel like having a couple of drinks with your friends before or after, that is no problem either. You just need to book a ticket and immerse yourself in the VR experience in the company of your friends and a few drinks. There is a variety of games you can pick from. In your package, a demo is included, which takes about 30 minutes and introduces you and your team to the concept and peculiarities of the VR experience.
The first game you may choose is named apocalypse. This is a classical zombie shooting game. This game is mostly dominated by action: it is a combination of outstanding entertainment and highly exciting action. Your objective is to survive the multiple rounds of hordes of upcoming zombies. The difficulty is classified on their website from easy to hard, so it is up to you, your agility, accuracy, intuition and reaction speed how many rounds you and your team will survive. Of course, there will be a gun to help you in this.
The second game you may pick is called alien defence. In this game aliens are attempting to overtake the world, and you and other marines in your team have to prevent them from doing so. In this game you both have to search alien spaceship crash sites for valuable information and secure this intel from the enemy aliens, as you need it to succeed in the mission. It is a mixture of problem solving and action. The difficulty of this game is classified as medium.
The third game you can pick is called the heist. In this game, you and your teammates are policemen or women who have been called to the site of a bank robbery. You and your teammates have guns, torches and scanners, and you have to use these to survive and solve problems. This is similar to an escape room, but even more exciting. The focus is more on problem solving rather than on action. At least 3 people are needed to play this game. Unfortunately during the heist social distancing cannot be maintained, therefore for the time of the coronavirus pandemic this game is not available.
