Agam Berry Talks About the Benefits of Embracing Employee Empowerment in the Workplace

When a business owner first hears about employee empowerment, it might be something that seems a little scary. This means that the employees are trying to gain a little bit of a more active role in the business, and they are trying to become empowered as a group.

Agam Berry of Quantified Commerce, personally see this as a positive rather than negative. It can be very beneficial in a lot of ways and make the business stronger overall. As long as the employees are smart individuals that were properly vetted in the beginning, chances are they have some valuable information to provide.

A rise in productivity

When employees feel like they are more in power, they tend to be a bit more productive as well. This is good news for any business owner, because sometimes it is hard to keep people motivated and ready to go.

Think of employee empowerment as a way for employees to want to show that they know what they are talking about. It’s a helpful option, as long as it is done correctly. Engagement continues to increase, and it makes an employee feel like they are working towards a goal that means a little bit more to them than in the past. Here are companies that use employee empowerment as a core business strategy.

Change for the better

It’s a challenge to go through change, but it’s even more of a challenge if no employees had any say whatsoever on the changes.

Thanks to employee empowerment, no one is caught off guard by the changes that might go into play. This makes it a smoother overall process, especially if the employees are on board from the beginning. Maybe there was a bit of a compromise before making a bunch of changes, but it all works out for the best.

Future employees notice empowerment

Once the word gets out that employees feel like they have a voice in the company, It is going to entice a certain type of applicant in the future. That’s great news for people who are trying to save a lot of time by finding the right employees right away. By hiring people who genuinely want to work for the company, it will help in so many different ways.

A lot of applicants are really just looking to be appreciated when they try to work with a new company. If they start to pick up those vibes, a business owner can be much more selective when they are trying to fill a new position.

Employee empowerment: a win-win for everyone

If employee empowerment is used correctly, it’s a win-win for all. Employees feel more appreciated and connected to the business as a whole, and the business makes more money in the end. It’s a trend that should always be looked at as a positive instead of negative.

Employees don’t want to feel so empowered that they take over everything, they just want a bit more to say in how things are operating on a daily basis in the business world.
